Medical Osteopathy

"The knowledge of movement in the body"

Holistic treatment method to restore the patient's mobility and freedom from pain.

What is Osteopathy?

  • Osteopathy is a holistic treatment method in which diagnosis and therapy are carried out by the hands of the therapist.

  • The path leads through the structure of the body. The goal is to restore mobility throughout the body.

  • The self-healing powers are stimulated.

Where does Osteopathy come from?
The founder of Osteopathy was the American medical doctor Dr. Andrew Taylor STILL (1828 - 1917). In the USA, osteopaths are largely equal to medical doctors in their powers. In Austria, physicians, physiotherapists, and midwives are licensed for the six-year additional training as osteopaths.

How does Osteopathy work?
The body reacts to excessive physical and mental stress with blockages. These cause tension and pain and lead to fatigue and exhaustion.
The body tries to compensate for these blockages, which additionally leads to complaints in areas that were not affected at the beginning. The task of the osteopath is to find and release these blockages. Treatment begins with the questioning and examination of the patient. The osteopath's art is to choose from a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic methods. This results in an individually tailored treatment.

Is Osteopathy safe?
In all its methods and techniques Osteopathy respects the natural limits of the body. Never is anything imposed with force in osteopathy. Each body has its own laws. Only what the body allows is solved. This makes Osteopathy a gentle and safe method.

How many treatments are necessary?
After three treatments at the latest an improvement should be noticeable. In some cases, one treatment may be sufficient. A temporary deterioration in the first 2-3 days after a treatment can occur and is part of the healing process.

Philosophy of Osteopathy

  • Life is movement: The most important diagnostic criterion is the assessment of the mobility of all structures of the body.

  • The structure determines the function, and the function forms the structure: As soon as there are blockages, the function is disturbed.

  • The body functions as a unit: everything is connected and interacts with everything else in many ways.

  • The law of arteries: Life must be nourished. For this, good blood circulation is the most important factor.

  • Self-healing mechanisms: Health is no coincidence, but the interaction of numerous self-regulating systems of the body.

Methods of Osteopathy

  • Structural Osteopathy: The work on the musculoskeletal system.

  • Visceral Osteopathy: Work on the internal organs.

  • Cranial Osteopathy: Work with the subtle rhythms of the cerebral fluid and the cranial bones.

Fields of application

  • Tensions of the musculature, which lead to pain: Lumbago, sciatica, pain in the thoracic spine, neck pain (cervical syndrome) and tension headache.

  • Sensitivity and circulatory disorders resulting from muscular tension.

  • Complaints of the locomotor system: tennis elbow, hip, knee, and shoulder problems.

  • After traumas and operations such as whiplash syndrome, slipped disc. Osteopathic scar removal.

  • During pregnancy and after delivery.

  • Paediatric Osteopathy: After birth, an osteopathic check of the infant is particularly useful, as it allows the early resolution of traumas caused by the birth process that have led to malfunctions.

  • Gynaecological complaints: Functional complaints in the context of the female cycle, such as middle pain, menstrual pain, headaches, and therapy-resistant lower abdominal pain.

  • Urological complaints: Therapy support for chronic cystitis and pelvic pain.

  • ENT complaints: Tinnitus and dizziness originating from the cervical spine.

  • After dental procedures such as tooth extraction, for teeth grinding and jaw joint problems.

  • Visceral complaints: Reflux, heartburn, chronic gastritis, digestive problems. Vegetative disorders: Nervousness, insomnia, migraine, lack of energy.

  • To prevent diseases and to increase vitality.

TCM - Traditional Chinese Medicine

TCM is a preventive medicine.
Its goal is to prevent the development of the causes of diseases. The human being is healthy when the vital energy Qi can flow unhindered in the body and an energetic balance prevails. The TCM treatment methods eliminate possible disturbing factors of this energy flow.

MethodsThe basis of all methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the creation of an exact energetic image based on tongue, pulse and facial diagnostics.

  • Chinese Dietetics: Nutrition is a key to vitality and longevity. The individual composition of food is an elementary component of the energetic balance.

  • Chinese and Western herbal recipes: The herbs are selected after the energetic picture is captured. They have a strengthening, calming or balancing impact on the body.

  • Acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping: The energy flow is stimulated and set in motion either by the needle, warming or suction.

 Herbal therapy

After recording the energetic image of the patient by means of tongue, pulse and face diagnostics, a Chinese diagnosis is performed. An individual herbal formula is prescribed based on this diagnosis and prepared by a special TCM pharmacy. Today the Chinese herbs are available as raw herbs, granules, pressed granules (pellets) or hydrophilic concentrates.

 Nutritional advice

"Our food should be medicinal; our remedies should be food." Hippocrates of Kos, Greek physician, "Father of medicine" 460-377 B.C. Nutrition is a key to vitality and longevity. The individual composition of food is an elementary component of the energetic balance. The connection between health and nutrition has a high value in Chinese medicine and is used therapeutically. The basis of a TCM nutritional consultation is the creation of an exact energetic picture based on tongue, pulse, and face diagnostics. On this basis, specific nutritional guidelines and recipes are individually compiled.

 Acupuncture

Acupuncture influences the life energy (Qi) of the body, which circulates in the meridians (energy channels). With the gentle manipulation of acupuncture needles, blockages can be released, the energy flow and self-healing powers can be stimulated. We like to complement the herbal therapy with the appropriate acupuncture treatment.
Our therapy focuses on the treatment of children, pregnancy, birth preparation, gynaecological complaints and desire to have children, as well as digestive disorders, allergies and ENT complaints such as chronic sinusitis and rhinitis. The effect of acupuncture is enhanced by the application of heat (moxibustion). Acupuncture is a safe method, but sometimes small hematomas (bruises) and vegetative reactions such as trembling or mild nausea can be caused.

 Moxibustion and cupping

Moxibustion and cupping are ancient healing methods used throughout Asia. With the help of a mugwort cigar or a moxa lamp, moxibustion is used to apply heat to certain acupuncture points and parts of the body (abdomen, back, joints) via the skin surface. The therapy improves blood circulation in the tissue, activates the metabolism in the tissue, warms and relieves pain. In combination with acupuncture, this heat therapy is particularly effective.
Cupping is an old natural healing method that has developed differently in many cultures. It has been spread in Asia as well as in ancient Egypt and Greece. Hippocrates of Kos, Paracelsus and Hildegard of Bingen used cupping as a therapy.
During cupping, negative pressure is created on the skin. The air in the cupping glass is heated very briefly with a flame and the glass is placed on the skin. As the air cools, a vacuum is created in the cupping glass and the underlying tissue layers are drawn into the glass. The cupping glasses are placed at specific points on the body. This triggers various effects; the blood circulation and the lymphatic system are stimulated. A bruise develops locally, which disappears after a few days. The resulting reflexes at the cupping zones trigger a therapeutic stimulation at the internal organs.
If a cupping massage is performed on the back or extremities, the skin is first oiled and then the cupping glass is moved over the body parts under suction. This procedure is not painful, in fact, it is usually perceived as pleasant.

Orthomolecular Medicine

"Orthomolekulare Medizin ist die Erhaltung guter Gesundheit und die Behandlung von Krankheiten durch Veränderung der Konzentrationen von Substanzen im menschlichen Körper, die normalerweise im Körper vorhanden und für die Gesundheit erforderlich sind."
Linus Pauling, Nobelpreis für Chemie 1954, Friedensnobelpreis 1962, Mitbegründer der orthomolekularen Medizin, 1901-1994.

"Orthomolecular Medicine is the maintenance of good health and the treatment of disease by altering the concentrations of substances in the human body that are normally present in the body and are necessary for health.” Linus Pauling, Nobel Prize for Chemistry 1954, Nobel Peace Prize 1962, co-founder of Orthomolecular Medicine, 1901-1994.
Orthomolecular Medicine is the therapeutic use of vitamins, trace elements, probiotics, and enzymes to maintain or restore health.
Orthomolecular Medicine (OM) is based on the scientific disciplines of nutrition science, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, physiology, general medicine, toxicology, and immunology. It has its origin in the United States.
Nutrient building blocks of OM such as vitamins, minerals and trace elements, amino acids, fats, antioxidant enzymes and probiotics have a positive influence on the natural regulatory mechanisms and biochemical relationships of our body.
One of the most important tasks of these valuable substances is to protect the organism from free radicals, which are produced daily in the course of metabolic processes. In the case of a conscious lifestyle, healthy nutrition, daily exercise and low-pollutant environmental influences, the amount of these substances contained in food is sufficient for the maintenance of health.
However, there is an increased need for these substances in old age, illness, excessive stress, competitive sports, malnutrition or excessive consumption of alcohol, cigarette smoke, excessive sunbathing, air pollution and radiation, contact with industrial chemicals and solvents, medicines and drugs, herbicide and pesticide residues in food, food additives such as preservatives and colorants.
OM is used in the therapy of acute and chronic diseases, as well as in preventive medicine, anti-ageing medicine and detoxification treatments.

Applications for OM in the different stages of life:

  • Planning a pregnancy

  • Pregnancy and lactation

  • Childhood and youth

  • In old age

Diseases associated with free radical damage:

  • Cancer

  • Cardiovascular diseases

  • Side effects of medication

  • Cataract and macular degeneration

  • Allergy and hypersensitivity

  • Arthrosis deformans and rheumatoid arthritis

  • Inflammatory bowel diseases (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease)

  • Neurological degenerations (multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease)

  • Ischemia/ reperfusion after heart attack or stroke

  • Accompanying with diabetes mellitus

Further examples of diseases that can be treated with OM:

  • Anemia

  • Aphten

  • Asthma

  • Dementia and Alzheimer's

  • Depression

  • Eczema

  • Colds and flu

  • Exhaustion, Burn out

  • Gingivitis and Periodontitis

  • herpes simplex

  • hyperactivity (ADHD)

  • Recurrent infections

  • Infertility

  • Chronic gastritis, reflux esophagitis (heartburn)

  • Metal poisoning

  • Migraine

  • Muscle cramps

  • Osteoporosis

Beauty Acupuncture - Micro-Needling

more than a cosmetic treatment

In the face diagnosis of TCM, the face reflects the state of health of a person. Wrinkles, swellings, and discolorations in the face are used to draw conclusions about disturbances and blockages in the body's energy flow.
In beauty acupuncture not only facial points but also body points are needled.

 Beauty acupuncture

  • is a holistic treatment that has a positive effect on the appearance by dissolving energetic blockages in the meridian system and by strengthening the essences.

  • The face and the quality of the skin become more radiant in expression and wrinkles are reduced in the course of the treatments.

The effects of beauty acupuncture on the skin are

  • The blood circulation is stimulated

  • The moisture balance improves

  • The connective tissue is stimulated

  • The skin is revitalized and regenerates faster

  • Due to the newly acquired elasticity, already sagging skin is tightened again

Many chronic ailments are improved by the effects of acupuncture and herbs:

  • Sleep and the vegetative system

  • Digestion

  • Cycle

  • Mood

Depending on the skin type, age and needs, beauty acupuncture can be combined with micro-needling using the "Dermaroller".

Which changes are visible after beauty acupuncture?

  • The skin appearance is refined and appears more velvet-like.

  • Forehead wrinkles and nasolabial folds are reduced

  • The upper cheek area and centre of the forehead appear padded

  • The contour of the lateral chin area is again clearly marked from the neck

How long does the effect of a cure last?

  • Depending on the individual constitution, it lasts about two years.

  • Progressive aging processes of the skin are simultaneously stopped or delayed.

  • The treatment is recommended for the age group 35 to 70 years.

 The Cellulite Acupuncture

The cellulite acupuncture and cupping massage consists of about 10 treatments, a nutritional consultation for weight reduction with supporting herbal therapy and individual sports program for the problem zones.
The aim of this treatment method is to improve the blood circulation in the tissue, to relieve and purify the female connective and fatty tissue and to build up specific muscles.

What changes are visible after the cellulite treatment?

  • The thighs become firmer

  • The skin appears smoother

  • Thighs and bottom are better supplied with blood and warmed up

  • The circumference of the thighs is reduced

The Cellulite treatment can be combined with the Micro - Needling treatment with the "Dermaroller". Substances that activate fat burning and skin metabolism are thereby increasingly introduced into the tissue, which increases the effect of both treatment methods.

Advantages of beauty acupuncture

  • Holistic and natural principle

  • Can be repeated as often as desired

  • No restrictions in work and leisure time

  • No scars or adverse effects

  • No use of chemical substances or anaesthetic risk

 Micro – Needling

The "Dermaroller" therapy (Medical Micro Needling) is a minimally invasive treatment concept to improve the skin's appearance. The method of Micro-Needling (also called Collagen Induction Therapy / CIT or Percutaneous Collagen Therapy / PCI) has been established for several years as a gentle and safe method for skin tightening, improvement of skin appearance and in scar therapy.
The term micro-needling refers to a short-term puncture of the skin with tiny micro-needles.
The resulting micropores close again within a few minutes.

The skin registers the puncture as an injury. This triggers the skin's repair function, although the puncture by the "Dermaroller" is not a real injury, but rather a skin irritation. In this respect, the skin does not react with the formation of scar tissue, as would be the case with a hypodermic needle, but produces growth substances that give the skin elasticity, form new capillary vessels and promote blood circulation. Scars and wrinkles are thus filled and smoothed.

How quickly are the first treatment successes visible?
Already after a treatment with the medical "Dermaroller", an improvement of the skin appearance can be seen, wrinkles and scars are much less pronounced. After two to four treatments, which should ideally take place at intervals of six to eight weeks, acne scars and wrinkles, for example, improve by up to 70 percent.

General medicine - Health care

Diagnosis and therapy from one source

Recovering and maintaining the best possible health is not only Dr. Schneider's profession, but also his greatest passion. In his endeavour to offer his patients the best individual care, he has diversified his therapeutic spectrum: from classical orthodox medicine to various alternative healing methods. An essential basis for all therapeutic measures is a well-founded, critical diagnosis. Therefore, Dr. Schneider reviews existing findings, obtains additional ones if necessary and then discusses these in detail with his patient.
Sometimes, a particularly thorough examination of existing diagnoses provides completely new explanations for many years of suffering.
He attaches particular importance to a clear understanding of his patients' health situation and discusses with them possible ways of healing.
